Mechanics

Kingdoms of Ereloth is a vast open-world game with many career opportunities. We can live an adventurous life of a notorious pirate, noble adventurer, local governor or a farmer.

We can train ourselves in combat, archery or spellcasting, or live a life of a pacifist if we so wish. We can also be a blacksmith, farmer or merchant. After gathering resources (copper, silver, wood, etc.) we can use them to make valuable goods. Domesticated animals and tamed beasts will help us transport them to neighboring lands or serve as mounts during combat. There are also ships to build, used to visit distant kingdoms.

Our accumulated wealth can be spent on greater causes, such as training our own troops, constructing buildings or setting trade routes for our workers. Over time, we'll create our own clan or join an existing one, expanding its influence to other cities through diplomacy or conquest.

Regardless of the scale of our actions, we can affect the world's economy - making use of differences in needs, policies, laws and taxes of different regions to maximize profits.
