Kevin VanDam's Big Bass Challenge is an action game with elements of sports fishing simulation, for which the Zoo Games studio is responsible. According to the title, players have the opportunity to hunt for good fish under the watchful eye of a famous angler.
Kevin VanDam's Big Bass Challenge Description
Kevin VanDam's Big Bass Challenge, released on PS3 and Wii, was developed and published by Zoo Entertainment which cooperated with one of the most famous professional anglers in the United States. The game was created for players who want to taste the emotions associated with fishing, but they want to do that in comfortable conditions of their living room.
Mechanics
The gameplay largely resembles that found in the Rapala Pro series. The player's task is to swim to the fishery, prepare the equipment and cast the lure, and then effectively attract and catch a fish. The animals, although virtual, behave similarly to their real-life counterparts - they avoid threats and fight with all their strength for life. Fortunately, a young angler can count on tips and advice from Kevin Van Dam himself.
Game modes
Kevin VanDam's Big Bass Challenge offers three game modes. Arcade tests your technique and reflexes. Press'n'play allows you to go to any previously unlocked water area and fish freely. The most complex mode - Career - consists of a series of angling tournaments, which allow the hero created by the player to earn money to buy better equipment and ultimately join the elite group of the best professional anglers.
Technical aspects
Developers from Zoo Games took care of the attractive visual setting of their work and realistic representation of the appearance and parameters of fishing equipment. Players have at their disposal a large assortment of boats, rods and lures.
