An expansion for the space program simulation game from Squad studio. The players can take part in missions inspired by real-life events from the history of the space race or create their own scenarios and share them with others. There are also new parts and suits based on said events.

Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion Description

Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion is an expansion to the praised simulation game Kerbal Space Program, in which the players manage an entire space program: from designing rockets and landers to piloting them to their destination.

KSP: MHE adds new parts and devices to the game for our space flights, a Mission Builder interface for creating new scenarios for us or other players and History Pack – a set of ready missions inspired by historical moments in space exploration.

Game mechanics

Thanks to new Mission Builder feature, we can create our own scenarios, like emergency landings or rescue missions. We can set things like victory conditions, plan all events and plot twists that will happen and add handicaps like limited fuel or time. Those scenarios can be shared with other players.

The second major part of the expansion is the so-called History Pack – a set of ready to play missions. Those are based on real-life events from the history of space exploration. What’s more, it includes the new rating system that sums up how we did in a mission.

Aside from that, Kerbal Space Program: Making History Expansion adds new suits for Kerbal and parts of our machines. All of them have been inspired by the famous space race between USA and USRR. One of the most important added devices is a personal parachute for Kerbal astronauts.
