KarmaZoo

KarmaZoo is a multiplayer platformer. It was developed by Pastagames, also responsible for Arkanoid: Eternal Battle, and published by Devolver Digital.

Mechanics

KarmaZoo is a side-scroller. We play as a variety of characters (animals, plants, animated objects) with unique abilities, tasked with traversing levels filled with traps and obstacles. In order to complete our objectives and come out victorious we must co-operate, make good use of our skills and even sacrifice ourselves if necessary. In return, we receive the titular Karma, used to unlock new characters and perks.

Game modes

KarmaZoo only supports multiplayer. The first game mode, Loop, has us play online alongside nine strangers, traversing increasingly more difficult levels adjusted to our team size, unlocked characters and perks. The Totem mode, meanwhile, offers a variety of mini-games and supports up to eight people, playing on a single shared screen.

Technical aspects

The visuals of KarmaZoo are simple, making use of pixel art.
