JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. Description
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure HD Ver. is a classic 2D fighting game with characters from the Japanese comic series with the same title. The game is an improved version of the game released in 1999 on the Dreamcast. That version was, in turn, a port from the arcade. The original and the remastered version were both developed by Capcom.
The title is based on the story presented in the popular manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, whose new volumes have been released with short breaks since 1987. It depicts the story of a family named Joestar, whose next generations have to face various dangers and adversities. In the game, we have the opportunity to play as over 20 characters who can use supernatural powers.
As in classic of the genre such as Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, players take part in one-on-one duels, and their task is to effectively eliminate the opponent during rounds. The creators have prepared a wide range of movements and combos, which will require time and skills to master.
As in the original version of the game, we can take part in online duels. Capcom, however, has significantly expanded multiplayer mode, using infrastructure designed for Super Street Fighter IV and Marvel vs. Capcom 3. Players choose opponents based on various factors, such as skills and connection quality. Each duel played increases the number of points scored, which translates into the level of our network profile. The introduction of the lobby allows eight fighters to organize small tournaments and observe each other's fights. Replays of our victories or failures can be saved on disk and shared with other players.
The graphic design has not changed significantly, except for the introduction of higher resolutions and smoothening of two-dimensional character and background models. The fans of the original can turn off any enhancements and play with the original image quality.
