John Wick Hex is a strategy game that focuses on tactical turn-based battles. The game was developed by Bithell Games studio, also known for creating Thomas Was Alone, Subsurface Circular, and Volume.
Plot
The game is based on the license of a popular series of action movies. John Wick Hex takes players to the world of hitmans and allows players to assume the role of the most legendary one, that is John Wick.
The game offers an extensive plot. The actors Ian McShane and Lance Reddick played the part of Winston and Charon on the silver screen.
Mechanics
John Wick Hex is played in turns and reproduces complicated shootout sequences known from the cinematographic counterparts. The player is provided with a wide range of actions and attacks using both firearms and melee weapons in order to plan the choreography of each shootout.
During the game, players control only one character, but the richness of action and weaponry as well as the high interactivity of the environment make it impossible for anyone to get bored. The protagonist is always outnumbered, so staying alive requires a lot of cleverness.
Technical aspects
John Wick Hex offers eye-catching three-dimensional visuals following the comic book-like design.
