Jet Grind Radio (a game in Europe under the title Jet Set Radio) is an unusual product. This game is a combination of a sports title and a rather innovative arcade. Associations with the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series are manifested primarily in the fact that we move on one large map, using a roller for this purpose. Contrary to the above mentioned series, in which we were involved in performing tricks, this time the player faces a different task. Because we have to get into less accessible sectors of the board, so that we can ... paint graffiti. The Jet Set Radio series was born on the Dreamcast console. Apart from this version, the game was also released on Xbox. The GameBoy Advance version combines the elements of the other two games in this series. Vicarious Visions studio is responsible for its production, which also prepared pocket versions of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.

The control of the main character has been greatly simplified. The player does not do any tricks, although it is possible (and in some cases even necessary) to make small jumps. In addition, some actions, such as the title grind, are performed automatically. The player does not have to worry about balancing the body. The game focuses only on reaching places where you can paint graffiti. This allows for the acquisition of control over a given sector of the board. There are 15 levels to complete. It is easy to find graffiti in the initial stages. Later, however, it is more difficult. The player must also press more keys to prepare a ready-made project. Moving from one painting location to another is further hindered by the presence of legal guardians. Initially they are ordinary policemen, but with time police helicopters and even tanks appear. You should also remember about the presence of other graffiti players, who should be overtaken on the way to their current goal. Visually, the game looks great. An isometric projection similar to the THPS series was used. Jet Set Radio also has a fully fledged multiplayer for four people. Players can race against each other in quite classic races, as well as try to paint as many graffiti as possible.
