The last installment of the trilogy about the land of Kendoria and the eternally harassing problems in the form of evil wizards. This time the team under the command of the player must prevent the reincarnation of Shendar in the body of the intimidating dragon Wohratax.
Shandar's destruction was not enough. In fact, Zubaran and his valiant company only deprived him of the carnal shell, leaving the self intact. However, a lot of time has passed since those events and everything seemed to indicate that the desired peace had finally arrived. But Shandar did not idle and was secretly preparing for a great return. For the next portion of destruction, which he was preparing for the whole land, he needed only the right body. His choice fell on the indestructible dragon, Wohratax. If the transformation is completed, the wizard will become immortal and will enslave the inhabitants of Kendoria forever. The task for the player is as follows: destroy Wohratax before Shandar performs the full transformation. Of course, it will not be that simple. Before you stand face to face with a dragon, you must first undertake an adventure full of dangers, which will require time travel, using the title Gates of Infinity.
Although the program is largely based on the achievements of its predecessors, several innovations have been implemented. The most important of these is the option of creating a team, a normal thing in other games of this type, in Ishar unprecedented so far. The game allows you to create from scratch all five daredevils, starting from the choice of race (man, elf, dwarf, orc, lizard), through the profession (paladin, warrior, hairdresser, scout, thief, scribe, sorcerer, archer, spy), to modify the five basic attributes. You can also always start the game in the traditional way and look for other team members during the adventure, or move the whole group from previous scenes of the cycle.
The interface is very similar to what we saw in Ishar 2: Messengers of Doom. The only difference is to move the map selection to the top of the screen. By the way, it is worth mentioning that all the locations visited by us will be automatically marked on it, which is a big step forward in comparison to the original ones. Visual setting, as usual in Silmarils games deserves the highest recognition. Already at the beginning of the game we will notice that the authors were tempted to revitalize the world that we are going to travel through. On the streets of Koren-Bahnir there are not only independent heroes, who usually have valuable information, but also ordinary people, performing their boring, everyday duties.
The Seven Gates of Infinity is the perfect culmination of the whole Ishar trilogy. The Silmarils programmers have risen to the heights of their skills, applying to the programme an even better audiovisual setting, a complicated scenario and a huge number of fights, which, as in other editions of the series, do not belong to the easiest ones.
