Iris.Fall

Iris.Fall is one of several titles created by the Chinese NEXT Studio. Among others, the company had previously created Death Coming - a logical game which sold in over 100,000 copies.

Story

Developers have come up with an intriguing story, but it starts in a quite innocent way. A girl named Iris, trying to catch her cat, finds herself in a mysterious theatre. There, she has to solve a number of problems in order to discover the dark truth.

Mechanics

Iris.Fall is an adventure game with logical elements, which appeared on XONE and PC. During the game, players travel around the theatre, solving different puzzles. The game is based on manipulating light and shadow. In this way, players can for example create new paths. The game features different puzzles, on of which requires players to move the hands of a huge clock, whose shadow falls on a nearby wall. The shadows in the appropriate position will serve as a bridge to the upper floor. Iris can walk across it, because when she enters the beam, the light itself turns into a shadow.

Technical issues

The visuals featured in the game are unique. Developers have limited themselves to the use of a narrow palette of colors - different shades of gray and the yellow light that breaks them.
