INFRA for PC is a Source engine-based original adventure game created by the international team of the independent developer, Loiste Interactive. The authors' aim was to design a game whose exclusive focus would be exploration and puzzle solving. The authors even went as far as not implementing any weaponry, a feature common to the majority of modern video games.
Story
In INFRA for PC we play as an engineer who specializes in structural analysis of defects and architectural damages. During a routine inspection carried out in an underground complex, a catastrophe takes place. As a result, our engineer is trapped in a labyrinth of hallways buried under the ruins. Also, it turns out that the catastrophe may have a negative impact on the entire city. The protagonist will have to make a difficult choice between fulfilling his duty as an engineer - ensuring the safety of the inhabitants - and saving his own life.
Gameplay
The game world is viewed in the first-person perspective. The gameplay is focused on traveling through the underground structures full of hidden passages and unique chambers. The players will use different kinds of vehicles, including subway. The protagonist, using only the flashlight and his own wits, has to solve quite a number of puzzles requiring knowledge of the principles of electricity and mechanics. While avoiding different dangers, he has to survive in the crumbling underground complex and prevent an even bigger disaster.
As the authors planned, the players in INFRA for PC will not encounter any spectacular explosions or powerful weapons. Instead, we received a suspenseful adventure game requiring patience and logical approach.
