Infinite Guitars Description
Infinite Guitars is an unusual RPG, in which we fight in turn-based battles while "performing" music by pressing the appropriate buttons at the right time. Game was developed by indie studio Nikko Nikko and published by Humble Games.
Plot
The world was destroyed in the war with the Mechs, and the surviving remnants of humanity do not have it easy. To survive, they have to earn their livelihood amidst the ruins and fight. The deadly metal machines rise again and only a group of heroes armed with electric guitars can face them and save the planet.
Game mechanics
We command a team of four heroes with unique abilities. We move through the 2D world, encountering allies and enemies on our way, solving environmental puzzles and collecting resources. We fight in turn-based battles, although the fights are arcade in nature - we launch attacks by pressing appropriate buttons according to the rhythm of the songs. Using different heroes - solo or in duo - is connected with different costs and effects of taken actions. During the opponent's turn our task is to avoid the inflicted blows.
Technical aspects
Graphics, especially character design, is inspired by the anime style.
