Infestation 88 is an episodic co-op survival horror game. It was developed by Nightmare Forge Games.

Plot

Infestation 88 is set in 1988. We play as exterminators, venturing into areas overrun by dangerous creatures. The enemies include characters known from popular works of culture, such as Mickey Mouse (specifically its 1928 incarnation). We'll also face off against numerous creatures from urban legends.

Mechanics

Infestation 88 is a first-person game. Players must traverse dark areas, trying to reach sources of the plague and destroy them. To achieve this, they must look around in search of clues and ways into other areas.

Along the way they'll fight off numerous enemies, using various weapons and gadgets. Players must work together with their squad, stay vigilant and monitor the situation, using cameras to keep an eye on the area. When cornered, we can either run away or try to hide.

As we progress through the game, we develop our character, gathering better gear, experience and perks. Unpredictable AI and randomized item layouts add replayability.

Game modes

Infestation 88 supports singleplayer but only reaches its full potential in co-op for up to four players, communicating with them through voice chat.
