Indigo Lake is a first person horror combining elements of a shooter and adventure action game. The structure of the world is open and the game is about repelling ghostly attacks, exploring locations and solving puzzles. A car helps you to travel.
Indigo Lake is a mobile FPS maintained in a horror atmosphere and enriched with strong adventure elements. The project was developed by 3 Cubes Research and it is a premium production - it doesn't have microtransactions.
Plot
The action in Indigo Lake takes place near the titular Lake Indigo in the US. For some time now, these areas have been a place of numerous suicides, repeatedly exceeding the national statistical standards. Researchers of paranormal phenomena suspect that the source of these misfortunes may be evil spirits associated with the Indian tribe, which inhabited this area a long time ago. The main character is asked by his friend Dr. Everett to go to the site and investigate the case.
Mechanics
The world Indigo Lake is open. The terrains are vast - we can explore them by driving a car. The gameplay mechanics are reminiscent of action-adventure games than traditional FPS. Although the events are observed from the hero's eyes and he is equipped with a gun, the weapon shoots light bullets which are mainly used to ward off the spirits. It gives us a moment to breathe. However, the spirits will be back after some time. To eliminate them permanently, we usually have to solve a logical problem - the gameplay puts a lot of emphasis on puzzles and exploration.
The main character is also equipped with special glasses, which make it easier to collect items and clues. Many puzzles require finding Indian pictograms, deciphering the information they contain, and then using this knowledge to perform old rituals.
