Incredi Beachvolleyball is a sport game produced by the Italian studio Idoru. Players can try their hand at virtual beach volleyball by directing the actions of 12 women's and men's national teams. The production is distinguished by its comic-style visual setting made with the use of cel-shading technology.
Incredi Beachvolleyball Description
Incredi Beachvolleyball is the second, after Incredi Basketball, "comic" sports game in the Italian studio Idoru. This time, developers from Padua tempted themselves to produce beach volleyball.
Players can direct the actions of 12 mixed (male-female) national teams. The competition takes place on sandy pitches located on six picturesque beaches. Of course, matches are played according to the official rules of this sport, and the observance of the rules is supervised by virtual referees.
The game offers three modes of play: quick match, tournament and training. In addition to the option of competing with artificial intelligence, there is a possibility of struggling with living enemies. A maximum of four players can take part in a multiplayer game.
The gameplay mechanics largely resembles those of Idoru's earlier game Beach Volley Hot Sports. Common elements include the control system and the ability to dress up players in one of the various sports outfits.
Incredi Beachvolleyball's visual setting has been kept in a comic book style. This effect was achieved by the developers thanks to the use of goal-shading technology. The struggles are presented in a form similar to television transmission with dynamic shots of the camera (in several variants of position), action repetitions and short animations illustrating the reactions of the competitors.
