Impossible Mission 2 is a platformer, which is a continuation of the famous hit from 1984. Although the original was released on several hardware platforms (including Apple II), the game eventually did not hit the PeCet screens. Only four years later, Epyx thought about the owners of these machines and presented them with the second installment of the series.

Elvin Atombender, a crazy scientist who once tried to put the plan to take control of the world into practice, attacks again. This time he set himself the goal of a nuclear arsenal belonging to the United States. The virus designed by him paralysed the country's defence system and programmed rockets carrying nuclear warheads for several purposes, which are the largest cities in the world. Considering that Elvin dreams of a nuclear holocaust alone, there is not a moment to lose. The special agent who was sent to the madman's fortress has exactly eight hours to disarm the missiles using special codes. The problem is that it can only be done in a tower controlled by Elvin. And to reach it is not that easy at all.
