Impire Description
Impire is an economic strategy game inspired on Dungeon Keeper series. It is a product of a French team of Cyanide Studios. The game was released by Paradox Interactive, a company that specializes in this type of games.
The action takes place in a fantasy land of Ardania, known from Majesty series. The hero of the story is Baal Abaddon – a demonic imp, who was once a terrifying evil lord, but then lost his position. Your goal is to help him reclaim his former power. This can be done by managing his dungeons. As part of these responsibilities, you must build new rooms, gather materials, take care of underground economy, grow ever more powerful monsters, and set traps. All of this, so you were able to repel the attacks of noble crusaders fighting in the name of good and justice.
The features listed above are virtually identical to those of Dungeon Keeper series, however, Cyanide Studios also came up with a set of their own ideas. The most significant of them is ability to send bands of monsters on the surface in order to plunder the local villages. Moreover, the game has extensive RPG elements that allow you to develop Baal Abaddon’s skills and gear him up with better weapons and armor.
Impire offers an extensive campaign that you can play alone or in co-operation with friends. There are also some more traditional multiplayer modes for up to four people.
