I Expect You To Die 2 is the second installment of the humorous escape room style puzzle game created with virtual reality in mind. It was developed by Schell Games, a studio known for its VR games.
I Expect You To Die 2 is the second part of the series, following the story of a special agent from the previous installment. This time we are facing an undercover mission to capture artificial intelligence necessary to fulfill the unpredictable Zoraxis' plan of taking over the world. Game was developed and released by Schell Games studio, which is responsible for creating Until You Fall and HoloLAB Champions.
Plot
In I Expect You To Die 2 we take on the role of a special agent. We're on an undercover mission to infiltrate the base of the enemy - Doctor Zoraxis - where he stores an AI that, according to intelligence, may hold the key to fulfilling his nefarious plan to seize total power on Earth. Using our special abilities, we must capture this AI and learn the doctor's detailed plans. However, it turns out that the case is much more complicated than it seemed.
Mechanics
I Expect to Die 2 is a VR game, in which the action is observed from a first-person perspective. We have to infiltrate rooms and avoid traps, here presented in the form of numerous puzzles typical of "escape rooms". To solve them we'll have to use special gadgets and skills, including telekinesis that allows us to manipulate objects.
As in its predecessor, players die a lot in this game. This is the key to the gameplay, which expects us to learn the schemes of specific puzzles by trial and error. However, unlike other titles, the game does not have checkpoints and if we die, we have to start the game from the beginning.
Technical aspects
I Expect You To Die 2 is a fully 3D game in a James Bond style with a suspenseful soundtrack. The game requires VR sets to run.
