Erotic-puzzle game with visual novel elements developed by the independent studio HuniePot. In HuniePop 2: Double Date we play a casanova, whose task is to satisfy the needs of an ancient evil that plans to destroy the universe.
HuniePop 2: Double Date is a puzzle-erotic game by independent studio HuniePot. It is a sequel to HuniePop from 2015. In the game we take on the role of the protagonist of the previous part, whose task is to stop two powerful cosmic beings from destroying the universe.
Plot
The action of the game takes place several years after the end of the previous part. The nameless hero, as a result of being taught by the love fairy Kyu, has become a casanova. One night, his former teacher returns to him, giving him a mission on which the fate of the world hangs in the balance. Two ancient beings, known as Nymphojinn, are due to awaken from a deep sleep in a few weeks. They will then destroy the world unless someone satisfies their demands. Kyu takes the protagonist to a resort on the island of Inna de Poona, where he intends to train him in the art of love triangles and prepare him for a date with the awakened evil.
Mechanics
Like its predecessor, HuniePop 2 is a puzzle game with some visual novel elements. The core gameplay element is dating, represented by a match-3 style mini-game. A game board is presented to the player with a number of tokens of different colours representing the actions performed during a date. Different girls have different preferences - some are more impressed by the green Flirt tokens, others prefer the orange Romance tokens. Depending on the match, the player receives different amounts of points. To make a date a success, a designated number of points must be scored in a certain number of moves.
New in HuniePop 2 are double dates. Each date available in the production forces the player to care for two girls at once. Each of the twelve available women has a stamina bar that drops each time you make a move. If the stamina of both of them drops to zero, the date will end in failure. We can give gifts to the characters, which make the gameplay easier and provide bonuses. During the dates we also have to watch out for the Baggage, which are difficulties unique to each girl. Passing the dates the player is rewarded with erotic illustrations.
Game modes
HuniePop 2 contains only single player mode.
Technical aspects
Graphic design is highly inspired by anime style. The game is censored by default, and removing the censorship requires a simple modification of the game files.
