House of Caravan is an exploration adventure game created by the experienced developers from the indie studio Rosebud Games. The game takes place at the beginning of the 20th century in a town called Candlewood, located in the northern part of the United States. We play as a boy who was kidnapped by strangers on his way home from school.

The Plot

The game takes place in the city of Candlewood located in the northern United States. We play as a boy who was kidnapped while he was on his way back home from school. He ends up in a dark mansion. Our job is to find our way out and unravel the mysteries of the mansion. Creators House of Caravan for PC where inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe and classic horror movies.

Mechanics

Gameplay in House of Caravan for PC focuses on the exploration of the creepy residence. We will have to explore floors and rooms, solve simple riddles, and unravel the secrets. The letters and notes we find will shed some light on the game’s dramatic events.

We can interact with the game’s environment. Looking very closely on items and objects can put us on the right track, just like going through drawers in search of useful clues. The game is presented from a first-person perspective, and the way gameplay was designed brings to mind escape rooms. Finishing the game will take us from sixty to ninety minutes. House of Caravan works as a one-time experience.

Misc.

From a technical point of view, visuals in House of Caravan for PC are rather mediocre. The game, however, has its own characteristic style emphasized by its economical use of light. By doing so, the game has its own unique, suggestive atmosphere.
