HomeBehind is TPP STUDIO's debut production, chosen by the Steam Greenlight community. The game deals with the subject of civil war, as a result of which the main character loses his home and contact with his daughter. Our protagonist has to fight for survival, struggling with the problems of everyday life. The difficult situation ultimately leads him to go to Europe to find missing family members. However, the path is filled with countless difficulties such as hunger, illness and lack of acceptance.

Mechanics

A characteristic feature of HomeBehind on PC is a randomly generated world (including unique pieces of equipment). During his journey spanning 3,000 kilometers, our refugee will encounter many NPCs who can sell us the necessary supplies. However, our hero is in a foreign area, where not everyone is friendly towards him, and a large part of the locals have hostile intentions. This results in numerous battles. Among the opponents, there are demanding bosses, as well as other refugees; all these events are generated randomly.

HomeBehind features a character progressions system along with statistics, skill trees, and equipment. We have to adjust our gear to the mood and level of hunger and thirst of the main character - this can change e.g. due to illness (such as flu) or injuries. Items in the game can be combined through an extensive crafting system, which will allow you to better adapt the equipment to current needs and style of play. In addition, the creators introduced many types of food and drink, as well as the option to cook meals. HomeBehind also has 15 different professions that the main hero can perform. Thanks to them, the protagonist can receive bonuses helpful in the preferred play style.

Technical aspects

HomeBehind's visuals are maintained in a cartoony atmosphere. The game is dominated by bright and vivid colors, but there are also moments when it gets dark and depressing.
