Hollow is the new game from the fathers of Casanova, Alfred Hitchcock Presents: The Final Cut and Jerusalem: The Holy City. The game represents the FPS genre, and its creators decided to take the best elements from Doom III, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Halo: Combat Evolved. The devs presented us with an alternative vision of the planet Earth from the second half of the 20th century, in which mankind did not experience World War II. The action was placed in a hypothetical country of Centrope (Central Europe), whose socio-political system can be characterized as disco-totalitarian.
The user controls the actions of Tyler Kilmore - a former American journalist, returning to his fiancée after five years of separation. However, the hero is falsely accused of murdering the said woman, so he must clear himself of the charges by going to Hell and finding his beloved (by the way, the hero discovers the great and carefully guarded secret of civilization).
- More than twenty story episodes, set in four different environments (a total of nearly thirty hours of fun).
- A rich arsenal of weapons (e.g. a weapons removing enemy's bones) and additional accessories (climbing kit, remote-controlled machines, etc.).
- Around a quarter of a hundred different characters and a non-linear scenario.
- Extensive multiplayer mode (Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, three different teams in team competition, etc.).
- Detailed visuals, rendered by advanced Xubl engine.
