High Spirits

High Spirits is a hack'n'slash production with roguelike elements, in which we play a hungover protagonist trying to deal with the consequences of the night before. The title was developed by independent Petri Dish Studios.

In High Spirits, we view the action in an isometric view.

Combat, enemies, death and its consequences

In the course of the game, we deal primarily with the elimination of opponents. The protagonist wields a magic staff, which can transform into various weapons. In this way he can wield both classic white weapons (used for close quarters combat) and weapons that allow you to keep your enemies at a distance and unleash powerful magical area attacks.

Most often we face hordes of ranked enemies, but from time to time we also have to face bosses. Clashes are dynamic, so it is not difficult to die here. If we fall on the battlefield, we will wake up in a musty basement, after which we will have no choice but to start the journey all over again.

Potions

The dice's transformations are fueled by the potions drunk by the hero, so brewing them is one of the main elements of the gameplay. Interestingly, we must pay attention to the speed at which we consume the contents of successive vials and their quantity, because otherwise we may suffer various consequences of intoxication with magical liquids.

Characters

As we move through Brinley, we get to know its residents. Among them we will find both potential clients and Flanagan's friends, who can become our allies and accompany us on our journey.

Additional adventure

To top it all off, there are quests that are flashbacks, in which we play the role of Maeve, who conducts excavations and uncovers the secrets of the ruins beneath the city. In her sk?ra we have the opportunity to learn about Brinley's past and unravel the mysteries of the place.
