Hexologic Description
Hexologic is a puzzle game developed by Warsaw developers from MythicOwl studio. This is the second title of the team after its debut project Trancelation.
Game mechanics
Creators of Hexologic took inspiration from Sudoku, but instead of blindly adapting it rules, MythicOwl used them as a base for something new. The gameplay focuses on titular hexes, on which players put dots so that their number corresponds to the one on a figure’s side. It isn’t a problem with a single hex but becomes one when figures start forming more and more complicated shapes. Players have to share a required amount of dots between a few fields to get the correct number in a straight line. This isn’t easy due to a necessity of creating a few sequences consisting of the same fields.
Hexologic offers sixty levels divided between four worlds, each with unique mechanics to vary the basic gameplay. Some puzzles are time-limited and intended for skilled players who might want to take on bigger challenges.
Game modes
Hexologic is a purely single player game.
Technical aspects
Simple, but good-looking visuals of Hexologic are combined with a calming soundtrack, making it easy to focus on puzzles.
