Heroes Chronicles: Warriors of the Wastelands PC

Producer of the series Heroes of Might & Magic - company New World Computing, after releasing two add-ons to the third part of the game, decided to change a little strategy creating another saga. It is aimed rather at casual players, offering a range of relatively short campaigns with a low level of difficulty. The series uses a truncated engine Heroes III: The Shadow Of Death, devoid of multiplayer options and the ability to play single scenarios. Individual parts of Chronicles can be treated as additional campaigns, but released in the form of independent games, not requiring the third part of the saga to work.

The plot of the series Heroes Chronicles is an epic story about the fate of the immortal hero called Tarnum, presented in several separate episodes. Recognized as unworthy of the gates of paradise, our hero seeks redemption for the sins committed in earthly life, fighting evil and counting on the favor of the gods. In the first episode of the series we go back many centuries to get to know the barbarian of Tarnum, the main character of the new saga, and we are still dealing with a fantasy classic turn-based strategy, in which our prototype player develops his territory, expanding castles and gathering armies to lead them, together with other heroes, to fight with hosts of various enemies. After years of oppression he discovers the truth about his ancestors and initiates a rebellion aimed at liberating his people from the yoke of the Magi of Bracaduun. With increasing success, he drags the Muddy People on his side to conquer the lands they used to share with him. As he gains power, Tarnum becomes a tyrant, causing fear and doubt even among his allies. Afraid of the conspiracy, he insidiously poisons his advisors, continuing the victorious march and leading to the final collapse of Bracaduun. A few years later, Tarnum dies in a battle at the hands of Rion Gryphonheart, which gives rise to the kingdom of Erathiya. On his way to the Courtroom, he is considered unworthy of crossing the gates of paradise and sent back as immortal to repent of his guilt.

Warlords Of The Wastelands was released in full Polish as part of the package Heroes Chronicles: Complete Saga, which chronologically includes the first four episodes of the saga.
