HeartZ: Co-Hope Puzzles, available on PC and XONE, is a two-dimensional platform game designed to play in the local cooperation mode. The game was created in collaboration between Neko Entertainment and an independent French studio Upper Byte, who made a successful debut with Wooden Sen'sey released on PC and Wii U.
Plot
The plot of the game revolves around the actions of the sinister Dr. Nylus, who, as it usually happens, wanted to take over the world. We can play as three independent heroes with different skills - our task is to stop the scientist and his mindless minions.
Mechanics
In terms of gameplay, HeartZ: Co-Hope Puzzles is a typical platform game, in which we have to jump on the platforms, fight against opponents and solve various puzzles. What makes a significant difference here is the fact that during the game we control three independent characters, each one of them having slightly different skills - their proper use is the key to success.
The first of the available characters is a dog named Spittle, who can squeeze through small cracks and jump through large chasms. The dog can also, for a short period of time, become resistant to electric current. The second character, Brainy, has the ability to teleport, thanks to which he can easily get to seemingly inaccessible places. The last character, Punch, prefers to use force instead of the brain to achieve a goal. This character can break through walls and move objects that no one else could lift up.
Game modes
HeartZ: Co-Hope Puzzles, released on PC and XONE, is designed to play in a local cooperation mode for up to three people. Each player controls one of the characters and tries to help their companions to complete the stages. If there are no people willing to play with us, we can also play on our own, switching between the heroes.
Technical aspects
Despite quite clear references to the classic platform games, Upper Byte's production boasts colorful and fully modern high-resolution graphics using a number of the latest visual effects.
