OpenCritic
The first large expansion for Hearts of Iron IV – the fourth installment of the popular grand strategy game series created by Paradox Interactive. The add-on, called Together for Victory, focuses on introducing new functions connected with British Commonwealth and the countries that were a part of it during World War II.
Game Debate: 8 / 10 by Stuart Thomas
I do hope that Paradox create more of these DLCs with the focus on minor nations, with interesting new National Focus trees. I like the addition of the autonomy mechanic and the new sprites and leaders. But that's only part of what HOI4 needs. If the next DLC brings more resilient AI, better balanced anti-air and a focus on fixing a few of my peeves with the warscore system, I'll be getting it for that rather than for any deep dives into the soul of a minor nation
Cubed3: 3 / 10
Having more small nations might seem good, but the reality is many of the nations are completely unplayable, short of some strict gambit or cheap AI tactic. The nations are too small, too irrelevant to matter and, as a result, the entire premise of this DLC is rendered negative. Sadly, Hearts of Iron IV: Together for Victory falls into the issues seen with other downloadable content from Paradox Interactive.
GameGrin: 6 / 10 by Alex Hamilton
It would be slightly unfair to say that a lot of these changes feel like a user-made mod, but at a price point as high as this, I can’t in good conscience recommend it as a must-buy for players of the base game.

Hearts of Iron IV: Together for Victory Description
Hearts of Iron IV: Together for Victory for PC is a large expansion for Hearts of Iron IV. The add-on is not standalone, which means that it requires the base game to run on your machine. Both titles were developed by Paradox Interactive.
Mechanics
Together for Victory focuses on a group of countries that were part of the British Commonwealth during World War II. As a result, the expansion introduces new national development trees for Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and India, complemented by historic characters and companies. The whole add-on was created in such a way as to allow the game to unfold in a historic way, or to create an abnormal, alternative scenario.
A new system of autonomy had been introduced – the player can set various levels of dependency of the subordinate countries, from puppet governments, up to full, self-contained rule. We can now evolve some of the national ideas, which result in trickling bonuses, and new upgrades unlocked throughout the course of the war.
Together for Victory allow weakened governments to ask their allies for the lease of various equipment. Additionally, the Commonwealth nations can receive technologies to quickly reach the level of their dominion – Great Britain. Finally, the developers introduced small changes to battle system, and added the ability to show detailed statistics in the aftermath of each battle.
