Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday - Armageddon

Armageddon is an expansion for the popular grand strategy game, Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday for PC, whose action is set in the times of World War II. The said production is distributed digitally. It also requires the full version of Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday, in order to work.

Mechanics

This “booster pack” introduces two additional scenarios that take place in the times of the abovementioned conflict. The events presented are alternative to those known from history books. Both scenarios do not have permanently fixed dates of end and can change depending on the course of a game.

Several options concerning both naval and air units were implemented. In case of the former, the player can build new ships, modernize the ones currently in use, and scuttle those that are obsolete. As for the latter, the way damage is recognized as well as the system of air battle resolution were changed which significantly alters the gameplay balance since aircraft are present in combat much longer and fight more effectively.
