Gunner 2 is an arcade shooter of the kind of "target sight", produced by an independent Warlock studio. The player operates anti-aircraft artillery and his task is to annihilate the attacking fighters, helicopters and even spaceships. The production is characterized by a simple gameplay maintained in the style of classic "shoot'em up" games.

Founded by Peter Sokolov, the independent Warlock studio specializes in the production of games addressed to fans of retro style shooting, as exemplified by Gunner 2. The developers' assumptions are to be a modern response to Beach Head and other cult productions from the era of 8 and 16-bit computers.

Gunner 2 allows the player to play the role of a shooter, serving various types of anti-aircraft weapons. The creators prepared a total of 35 missions, divided into three chapters covering the period of World War II, contemporary times and the future. Depending on the era, the types of attacking enemies (e.g. fighter planes, helicopters, jets, spacecraft) and the available weaponry change.

In most missions, the player's task is to defend the ground base aggainst enemy raids. The only exception are the scenarios from the Xmas package in which the cannon service on board the bomber has to be taken care of.
