Grim Dawn: Fangs of Asterkarn PC

Grim Dawn: Fangs of Asterkarn is the third major expansion to Grim Dawn, a 2016 action RPG. Like the base game, it was developed by Crate Entertainment.

Plot

Grim Dawn: Fangs of Asterkarn is set in the titular mountain land of Asterkarn. The player will get to known its inhabiting Kurn tribes, help them renew old alliances, deal with the corruption devouring their homeland and the darker side of their bloody history.

Mechanics

Grim Dawn: Fangs of Asterkarn introduces a number of new features, the largest being a new realm consisting of snowy mountains, icy caves and ancient forest valleys. It also adds a new mastery; the berserker, able to transform into a beast. This increases the number of available mastery combinations to 45.

Though the expansion doesn't raise the level cap, it introduces new powers gained by completing quests. It also introduces a new mechanic, potion personalization, letting us adjust them to our individual needs and preferences.

The expansion also introduces the Ascendant mode, where traversing the world poses much more of a challenge, there are new waves in the Crucible (added in the Crucible Mode expansion), new enemies, bosses, items and roguelike dungeons.

Game modes

Like the base game, Grim Dawn: Fangs of Asterkarn supports singleplayer and multiplayer.

Technical aspects

Grim Dawn: Fangs of Asterkarn doesn't change the visuals in any way. It's not a standalone expansion, requiring the base version of Grim Dawn to work.
