Greak: Memories of Azur

Greak: Memories of Azur is a platform action game enriched with adventure elements. The title was developed by the independent Mexican studio Navegante, and its publication was taken care of by Bromio.

Plot

The main hero of Greak: Memories of Azur is the title Greak, a representative of the Courine race, whose land, Azur, was attacked by an enemy faction known as Urlag. The protagonist has to find his brother and sister in order to build an airship together, which will allow them to escape the besieged homeland.

Mechanics

In Greak: Memories of Azur, the action is shown from the side. Walking through picturesque, interconnected locations dotted with platforms and obstacles to be avoided, we solve a variety of environmental puzzles and face hosts of enemies. After Greak finds his siblings, we can freely switch between the three protagonists. The latter is important because each of them has different abilities. While the youngest Greak, thanks to his small height and agility, can squeeze through narrow gaps, his sister Adara can levitate and dive (which gives her access to places unreachable for her brothers) and execute magical attacks, the born warrior Raydel makes perfect use of his sword and shield.

Technical aspects

Greak: Memories of Azur features hand-drawn, two-dimensional graphics, adopting a colorful, cartoonish style.
