Grab the Bottle for XONE, PS4 etc. is a logical game created by the Finnish Kuopio-based Kamina Dimension team. The game described herein is a debut project of this studio. The employees there are mostly friends who have known each other since high school and, as they write about themselves, are enthusiasts of video games who want to share their passion with everyone who is interested.

Story

The action takes place in America in the 1950s, when the protagonist of the game is born. While still in the cradle, he discovers the power of mind, but it is only an addition to the child's basic skill - a flexible arm that can be freely extended and thus he can reach for bottles located far away. Players follow the history of this outstanding individual almost from birth until his death.

Mechanics

Grab the Bottle is a logic-arcade game in which players control a stretching human arm. The arm encounters many obstacles on its way, which have to be overcome on the way to the desired bottle. The task is not easy, because every trip (e.g. touching a candle flame) and lack of precision causes the arm to be retracted. In addition, the in-game world is governed by Newtonian physics so during the game players can interact with the environment that reacts to their actions.

The protagonist's life has been divided into chapters of increasing difficulty.

Technical aspects

The struggle to reach the bottles has been divided into several dozen stages, the completion of which should take from seven to ten hours. Players are accompanied by a soundtrack that fits a given age of the main character.
