Good Company Description
Good Company is an economic strategy in which players run their own technological company, controlling its operations from a the humble beginninga until it becomes a market leader. The game was developed by an independent studio called Chasing Carrots, whose portfolio includes games such as Pressure and Cosmonautica.
Mechanics
In Good Company the action is shown from the top-down perspective. The story begins in the eighties, when the hard minds worked in the garages on their inventions to change the world. It is no different in our case, because the first products (such as calculators) have to be created by the character controlled by the players. However, when more and more money starts to flow into their account, they can think about developing their business and hiring employees; it is worth to pay attention to their experience and individual skills.
Over time, the company grows more and more, and players, in addition to expanding its headquarters and hiring new people, entrust the latter with more and more responsibilities - from production processes (which can later be largely automated), through logistics issues, to conducting research of new technologies. Thus, one can then deal with more burning matters , such as designing increasingly complex and advanced products (like robots with different functionalities) that meet the ever-changing needs of the market.
Game modes
Good Company consists of a single player campaign, scenarios and a sandbox mode. When the debuted debuted in Early Access on Steam, developers planned to implement the cooperative mode, among other things.
Technical aspects
Good Company has colorful visuals maintained in a pleasing, cartoon style that evokes associations with productions like Two Point Hospital.
