GoNNER

GoNNNER is an action platform game, enriched by the devs, i.e. independent studio Art in Heart, in elements straight from roguelikes. The title made its debut on personal computers, and after some time also found its way to consoles.

Story

In GoNNNER, players take on the role of Ikk, who sets off on a long and dangerous journey through a dark and constantly changing land. His goal is to find the perfect decoration to cheer up his only friend, the land whale Sally.

Mechanics

The action in GoNNER is observed from the side. The game consists of traversing various locations, avoiding traps and fighting encountered enemies. Due to the fact that the game is characterized by an exceptionally high level of difficulty, the hero often dies. After death, however, Ikk doesn't lose access to passive and active combat skills, which he can unlock during his voyages, so every time he starts the adventure, his taks is a little easier than the previous attempt. Therefore, it is worth exploring the game world and devoting some time to discovering its secrets; however, it should be remembered that individual locations are generated in a procedural manner, so you can never be sure what surprises will come up.

Game modes

Although GoNNNER does not have a multiplayer mode, its substitute are the online rankings - during the game we gain points, of which we can boast to the whole community of players. In addition, there are daily challenges reset at midnight.

Technical aspects

Despite its simplicity, two-dimensional visuals of GoNNER create a unique atmosphere. The effect was achieved mainly due to the modest color palette.
