Goetia 2

Game mechanics

Goetia 2 is a side-scrolling game. At first glance it doesn't differ much from other point & clicks games. We explore locations, look for clues and other useful information, talk to encountered ghosts and finally solve environmental puzzles.

There are 5 locations to visit, with a total of 80 rooms; the order in which we visit them is largely up to us. During his journey Luca finds himself, among others, on gloomy, deserted islands or in old, huge mansions. In many different rooms, we encounter puzzles that are often not limited to a single area; in such cases, actions performed in one place can have effects in a completely different one.

However, just like in the first part of the series, the fact that we control a ghost affects gameplay in a number of ways. First of all, Luca does not have pockets, and therefore cannot collect items. Instead, the protagonist can possess certain objects and use them to solve puzzles. Besides, walls, ceilings and floors are no obstacle for him; he can pass through them freely. As you progress, the protagonist gains special powers that make his ordeal a little easier. However, it's worth using them with caution, so that Luca doesn't start to feel too comfortable in the world created by Buer.

Technical aspects

Goetia 2 features stylized, 2D graphics. We can listen to the soundtrack which creates a unique, slightly depressing atmosphere.
