Go, Diego, Go!: Safari Rescue is a simple action adventure game. This product was developed in cooperation with Nickelodeon and is intended primarily for pre-school children. Black Lantern Studios, a company specializing in creating games for the younger audience, is responsible for the development of Go, Diego, Go!: Safari Rescue. This developer has also developed titles such as Dora the Explorer: Dora Saves the Mermaids or CandyLand.
We play as a boy named Diego. According to the game's title, we set off on a crazy journey to Africa. The main attraction of Safari Rescue is the opportunity to interact with various animal species. The player meets lions, jaguars or hippos. Interestingly, you can communicate with these creatures. This is extremely important because animals need our help. As a result of the actions of an evil magician, they were deprived of their characteristic features of appearance. This means, among other things, that we need to restore the long neck of the giraffe or zebra's straps. We also have to stop the evil mage. This can be done after finding a special drum. All the actions described above are depicted through simple to understand arcade mini-games.
In addition to interacting with animals, we can also participate in other activities, including the construction of a flying vessel. The game also allows you to learn a few basic phrases in Spanish. Safari Rescue's visual setting is very simple. The way we play mini-games is different on each platform. The PS2 uses analog sticks, the DS version uses a touchscreen, and the Wii edition offers support for the innovative remote controllers.
