Gladiator Begins is an action-RPG game produced by Acquire's development team. The player directs the actions of a courageous gladiator, who, apart from fighting in the Colosseum, also performs various orders for prominent residents of ancient Rome. The game is based on spectacular duels, thanks to which you can gain the publicity and experience necessary to develop the hero's skills.
Acquire became famous years ago for creating the first console game about creeping and surprise attacks - Tenchu. Now an experienced studio has prepared an RPG action on PSP, which takes players back to the times of ancient Rome.
The main character is a gladiator, who has to live in difficult times. The dying lineage of the ruling Caesar and political struggles for influence made the situation in the Empire very tense. People expect entertainment, and the parties intend to deliver it to them by sending the main character and hundreds of other warriors into the battle. Along with his fame and reputation, heros will also become a mercenary who works for the wealthy people of Rome and carries out various missions for them.
Behind the intriguing story stands an interesting action RPG, in which players have to fight hundreds of battles in arenas and perform dozens of missions building their image and developing the necessary skills.
The creators prepared several different types of missions and types of fights in the arena. There is no shortage of team fights and great battles of troops. Gladiator has four fighting styles between which it can switch freely depending on the needs. The creators have also prepared dozens of items of equipment to acquire and buy, which affect the abilities and statistics of characters. Thanks to them, everyone can adjust the character's characteristics to their own liking.
The combat system is dexterity based and relies on quick leading-out of the right combinations of blows and appropriate response to enemy attacks in order to lead out the counter.
