Glacier is the first installment of a series of arcade car races, developed by the Dutch company Team6 Game Studios. The player plays the role of a driver of a prototype rallying game, adapted to racing in Arctic conditions. The creators have prepared seven routes on which you can compete with computer artificial intelligence or living opponents.

Team6 Game Studio specializes in the production of low-budget "racers", which is exemplified by such games as Street Racer: Shanghai or Taxi: Amsterdam Madness. While designing Glacier, the developers decided to take a break from the crowded streets of virtual cities, funding races in exotic, winter plein-air races.

The action of the game has been set in the near future. The player plays the role of a participant in crazy races on the alpine glacier. Drivers of futuristic rally cars, adapted to ride in extreme winter conditions, participate in the competition.

The creators have prepared three models of cars, which can be started in races. They differ in body appearance and parameters such as acceleration or mass. The latter also affect driving, although the driving physics model used in Glacier is strictly arcade.
