Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams - Rise of the Owlverlord PC

Rise of the Owlverlord is an independent addition to the arcade game Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams, created by experienced designers from the independent German Black Forest Games studio. The production is an attempt to resurrect the legend of the cult, modelled on the Super Mario Bros platformer from 1987, set in a fantastic dream of two sisters: Giana and Maria.

The idea of the authors of Project Gian (as the game was called at an early stage of production) was not to be just a remake. Using the general concept of the original, programmers made many significant changes in the mechanics of the game, which gave it a completely new character. The most important novelty was the resignation from the figure of two sisters in favour of one, Giana, whose dual nature allowed her to transform from a girl lost in her dream into a punk rebel, and vice versa. With the transformation of the heroine, we move from a polite, candy world to its nightmarish counterpart, in each of them using their specific abilities.

Rise of the Owlverlord expands the basic game by 7 new levels, another boss, instructional level and a completely new story. The graphic design has remained unchanged in terms of style, but in the musical layer we get completely new songs by Chris Hülsbeck and Machinae Supremacy. The new achievements of Steam and the full support of the controllers have not been forgotten either. The add-on will allow us to spend another several dozen minutes with Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams.
