Ghost Knight: A Dark Tale Description
Ghost Knight: A Dark Tale is an indie action platformer developed by Grimware Games, a studio founded by Arthur Ramazanov, who previously worked for such companies as Sledgehammer Games, Sucker Punch Productions and Microsoft.
Plot
Ghost Knight: A Dark Tale is set in Lorentia, a fantasy land ruled by a mad king desiring immortality. His obsession drives him to open portals to a dark dimension, from which horrible monsters emerge, ranging from the undead to demons and hags.
The protagonist therefore awakens to save Lorentia - a spirit possessing a suit of armor, embarking on a journey to put an end to the king's madness.
Mechanics
Ghost Knight: A Dark Tale is a side-scroller. The game is set in various dark, creepy areas, ranging from graveyards to dungeons.
The player must be agile and possess good reflexes, double jumping, making their way past platforms, avoiding various traps and obstacles.
Along the way there are also plenty of enemies to fight. The protagonist is adept at wielding melee weapons, ranged weapons and using many different combat skills. Aside from regular foes, we'll face many powerful bosses.
Technical aspects
Ghost Knight: A Dark Tale features colorful, cartoonish visuals and an artstyle inspired by, among other things, the works of Tim Burton. The soundtrack is atmospheric and fits the tone well.
