An alternative version of Call of Duty 2 - a first-person shooter developed by Treyarch for PC and Xbox 360. Big Red One was created exclusively for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube consoles. Similar to the original Call of Duty 2, the story here is set during the Second World War, but focuses only on the actions of a single American infantry unit. The player assumes the role of the squad leader, who coordinates the actions of his subordinates.

The game is a result of cooperation between the original series creators from Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Montreal studio.
