Plot

In the year 2329, humanity defeated death, making consciousness eternal thanks to memory banks and the ability to transfer it between bodies. Immortality has become only a matter of price, and this does not matter for the highest classes.

James Karra is a New York detective from the mortality department, whose experiences with death push him towards an unofficial case. The detective follows the trail of a serial killer, trying to uncover the perpetrator of murders aimed at the city elite. His only support is Sara Kai - a young police liaison officer.

Gameplay

Nobody Wants to Die is a detective game with action shown from a first-person perspective. The game's mechanics are focused on conducting investigations, including searching for evidence and examining crime scenes. We often have to balance on the edge of morality.

The key element of the gameplay is using Karr's tools to reconstruct each of the crimes. Thanks to the use of futuristic technology, we scan the bodies of victims or find hidden evidence. By manipulating time, we discover the true course of events and at the same time collect clues that will help us learn the secrets of the city and its richest citizens.

Technical aspects

The debut work of Critical Hit Games studio is powered by the Unreal 5 engine. The title is characterized by a dark, photorealistic graphic design.
