Forgery Craft Description
Forgery Craft is a cross between an adventure and a simulation game, developed by a Polish studio, Empyrean.
Plot
Forgery Craft stars Amelia, an aspiring artist. Fed up with painting still life, she uses her talents for forgery to prove herself to the world.
Mechanics
The gameplay of Forgery Craft consists of two main layers. The first is forgery, shown from first-person. We'll start off by forging relatively simple documents, though soon we'll progress to increasingly complex works of art. The second is exploration and talking to NPCs, shown from the isometric perspective. Regardless of how good our forgeries are, we must still convince others our fake is the real deal. We must come up with a believable story and choose the correct dialogue options.
The forgery process requires not only a faithful reproduction of the original author's intent, but also aging the work appropriately. We'll need to use various tools and everyday objects to do so, unlocking more as we progress further through the game. Said tools include candles, razor blades, files, rags and hair dryers. The results of our work can be admired through a magnifying glass.
Technical aspects
Forgery Craft features a colorful, appealing artstyle. The visuals' high quality is the most pronounced when we examine our forgeries, all of which are very detailed.
