WitchSpring R Description
WitchSpring R is a jRPG, in which we play as a witch learning to live among other people. It was developed by an indie studio Kiwiwalks.
Plot
WitchSpring R is set in a fantasy world. The protagonist is Pieberry, a silver-haired witch with rabbit ears, who grew up in a forest full of monsters. One day, she decides to revive the memories of her childhood and learn to live among other people. We must help her survive this new, alien world.
Mechanics
WitchSpring R makes use of mostly isometric perspective, though other angles are used as well. The game is set in various areas, ranging from a grand city to beautiful landscapes. We'll spend most of our time talking to NPCs and completing quests.
The player should focus on developing the protagonist by training and perfecting her abilities. As we play, we also acquire various ingredients used to brew potions that empower Pieberry or her magical staff. New recipes can be obtained by finding magical books scattered around the world.
Said world is dangerous and combat is a common occurence. Battles are turn-based, and to succeed, we must use Pieberry's magical abilities well. She's not alone on her journey, as she can tame various creatures to help her or serve as mounts. There are also various mini-games to play through.
Technical aspects
WitchSpring R features colorful, high-quality manga-like visuals. The character models and areas are all very appealing. The game features Japanese voice acting.
