An action adventure game, in which we play as a boy traversing a hostile world, facing his sorrows. Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow tasks us with exploring locations, platforming, avoiding traps, solving puzzles and dealing with enemies.
Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow is an action adventure game about a young boy facing his sorrows. It was developed by indie studio Frozen Line and published by Ravenage Games.
The main protagonist of Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow is a little boy named Griffin. He is trapped in a hostile world, seemingly made up of his nightmares. With no other choice, he sets out on a journey during which he'll face his fears, discover the land's true nature and replace his sorrows with new feelings. He's not alone, being accompanied by a faithful friend - Birly the bear.
The gameplay of Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow is shown from various angles; depending on the scene, we'll see the main character from the side or from behind his back (TPP). Traversing the game's world, the player visits many locations such as beautiful plains, lush forests, dark caves or hovering castles.
Along the way we must jump on platforms, avoid traps and solve environmental puzzles; Griffin must operate different mechanisms or lift and carry heavy objects. He's assisted by Birly, who can reach some inaccessible places. We can control him directly or command him. Occasionally we'll also encounter nightmarish monsters; though usually Griffin and Birly must hide or run from them, sometimes they must face them head-on, for example, by chasing them away with a torch.
Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow makes use of an appealing, colorful, cartoonish artstyle.

Game Ratings for Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow Video Game.
GamesCreed: 3.8 / 5 by Mariella Deadman
Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow is a wonderful sidescroller that shows great potential from a clearly passionate and skilled new developer. While there are some teething problems with the 3D elements of the game and some object collision issues that can make puzzles frustrating, the game definitely demonstrates what it does right far more than what it does wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed my time playing and can’t wait to see what Frozen Line will be up to next. Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow comes out on June 14th and it well worth checking out.
Console Creatures: by David Pietrangelo
Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow takes place in a wonderfully dark and unique world, but its gameplay and controls prevent it from becoming a stand-out indie adventure.
Try Hard Guides: 6 / 10 by Christian Harrison
While Daydream: Forgotten Sorrow might lure players in with its cute designs and promise of Little Nightmares-like gameplay, it’s nothing that hasn’t been done before. The gameplay itself is frustrating, often leading to unnecessary and pointless deaths, with no real understanding of how to do better the next time. On top of a myriad of other bugs, it would be hard to recommend this game, unfortunately.
