Space for Sale

Space for Sale is a sandbox cross between a simulation and a strategy game. It was developed by Mirage Game Studios (also known for Little Big Workshop) and published by THQ Nordic.

Plot

Space for Sale has us playing as a galactic developer. We must traverse the planets of a newly discovered solar system, create housing for eccentric clients and sell them for a profit.

Mechanics

Space for Sale makes use of the top-down perspective. Our adventure will lead us through many different planets, full of wonders and danger, difficult weather, threatening fauna and flora. We'll explore procedurally generated planets, gather resources and try to survive the unhospitable environments while making them livable for our clients. To do so, we construct residential buildings and sell them for a profit. Once we're done, we do the same on a different planet.

Though the local fauna and flora may be aggressive, we shouldn't immediately answer with aggression ourselves. By observing and domesticating the local wildlife, we can learn how they adapted to their surroundings and use that knowledge to improve our buildings. Our discoveries also let us modify our gadgets, bringing us closer to conquering the entire system.

Game modes

Space for Sale supports singleplayer and drop-in drop-out multiplayer.
