Mable & The Wood Description
Mable & The Wood is a metroidvania, developed by Triplevision Games team. During the game, the player explores a world set in the dark fantasy world and fights against various enemies.
Plot
The action of Mable & The Wood takes place in a dark realm controlled by various kinds of beasts. We play the role of a character resurrected by a mysterious cult. According to the prophecy, the hero has to use his abilities to save the world from extinction.
Mechanics
In Mable & The Wood, the player is roaming a semi-open world divided into a series of smaller locations, filled with secrets and enemies (including mighty bosses). The hero uses his sword and the ability to transform into different creatures (their new forms are unlocked during the game).
There are also puzzles in each of the locations. The player can use elements of the environment to reach the hidden parts of the level. In addition, a new, previously unavailable passage may become available.
The game is designed in such a way that the player can avoid fighting. Depending on how he will deal with the enemies he encounters, he will see other ending.
Technical aspects
Mable & The Wood was made using the pixel art technique. The visual setting is two-dimensional and the action is observed from a side.
