Airborne Kingdom Description
Airborne Kingdom is a fantasy strategy game belonging to the sub-genre of city builder, which enables us to design and build a flying metropolis. In the game we will also find exploration elements. The title was developed and published by The Wandering Band and is a debut project. The team, however, includes several veterans from the industry who have worked in the past on such well-known franchises as Dragon Age and Battlefield.
Mechanics
The task of the player in Airborne Kingdom is to design, build and manage a flying city. We increase the number of inhabitants by attracting nomadic tribes who travel in the desert, over which our kingdom floats. It is also necessary to explore the map, acquire natural resources and take into account the needs of our citizens.
Establishing contacts with other tribes also plays an important role in the game. Thanks to trade and cooperation with them we can gain the goods we need and increase our knowledge - this enables us to develop technology that we are able to use to improve the living conditions of our subordinates.
The game uses randomly generated maps, so it looks a little different every time.
Game modes
Airborne Kingdom can only be played solo. The mainstay of the game is the single player mode.
Technical aspects
Airborne Kingdom features nice, three-dimensional visuals. Particularly noteworthy here are the location designs, which are characterized by a pastel colors palette and expressive, fairy-tale-like atmosphere. The technical side of the game do not lack anything either - the lighting presents itself credibly, emphasizing the advantages of the visuals. During the game we are accompanied by a soundtrack composed by Paul Aubry and Simon Desrochers.
