An action game with an open world, in which we find ourselves in the United States from the 1980s. The main character in American Fugitive is Will Riley; the protagonist escapes from prison to find his father's murderer. Observing the action from a bird's eye view, during the game we carry out various tasks commissioned by the representatives of the criminal world, gradually penetrating their ranks.
American Fugitive is an action game with an open world, developed by an independent team of Fallen Tree Games, known for their smaller projects such as Quell Memento and NOON. The studio was founded by developers who previously worked on such productions as TimeSplitters, Crysis, Black, and GoldenEye 007: Reloaded.
American Fugitive takes players on a journey to the United States from the 1980s, to Redrock County in the south. The main character of the game is Will Riley, who was framed for the murder of his father. Despite the protagonist's burning lust for revenge, he manages to escape from prison in order to find a real murderer, but at the same time he has to hide from the guardians of the law, gradually penetrating the criminal world.
In American Fugitive the action is shown from the top-down perspective. The game provides players with an extensive area where they travel on foot or by various vehicles. Apart from tasks assigned by representatives of the criminal underground, including burglaries, thefts, as well as spectacular shootouts and chases (both police officers and other criminals stand in one's way), various side activities are waiting to be investigated. Among others, players will find time challenges and stunts straight from the classics of action cinema.
The 3D visuals of American Fugitive are maintained in a colorful, slightly cartoon style. The game is enriched by an advanced physical engine that allows for extensive destruction of the environment.

Game Ratings for American Fugitive Video Game.
COGconnected: 67 / 100 by Omri Wallach
Ultimately, American Fugitive lives and dies by its gameplay. Driving around and tearing through Redrock County is fun, destructive, and weirdly cathartic. Casing buildings and barely escaping before the police show up is breathtakingly thrilling.
ZTGD: 6.5 / 10 by Ken McKown
American Fugitive is a neat take on the top-down crime drama. I like a lot of its ideas, while others hold it back. I would love to see more from this team with these ideas in mind. Clean up the padding and add fast travel and this game could really be something special. Also, give me the option to zoom the camera out a little more, as it stands it feels a little too close to avoid oncoming traffic.
Metro GameCentral: 7 / 10
A likeable, car chase-riddled sandbox crime spree that updates the original pre-3D Grand Theft Auto games into a more modern play experience.
