End Space Description
End Space for PC and PS4 is a space simulator created by an independent team from Orange Bridge Studios. The game was developed specifically for Samsung Gear VR, but over time, it received versions for other gaming systems. End Space requires VR goggles to work.
Plot
The player is taken to distant future times, when trade in the galaxy is almost entirely controlled by The United Trade Consortium. The company had achieved its high position mainly through creating a network of wormholes that facilitate interstellar travel to a large degree, as well as through developing the Hyperluminal Drive, which has allowed smaller spaceships to travel across huge distances at great speeds.
In search for valuable resources, the corporation's forces reached the Tartarus sector in order to take it under their patronage. In the region, resistance was formed soon however, and those are called the Tartarus Liberation Front – its members fight the UTC using underhand tactics. The player takes on the role of the company's newly hired pilot, and their goals are to face the rebels, and prevent them from obtaining any top-secret technology.
Mechanics
End Space for PC and PS4 is played from the first-person view, and the player is placed in control over the UTC's latest craft – a combat ship named Minos Starfighter. Fighting the adversaries constitutes the core element of the experience – thanks to the technology implemented in the player's vessel, one targets their foes through moving their head.
While fighting subsequent skirmishes, the player uses extensive weaponry – mainly laser weapons and rocket launchers. Completing subsequent contracts, the player gradually climbs the military ladder – as a reward, one receives both completely new weapons and different upgrades that increase the player's combat potential.
Technical aspects
End Space for PC and PS4 offers high-quality visuals – what makes the game stand out in terms of graphics, are above all, advanced special effects accompanying exchange of fire in space, as well as spaceship models designed with attention to detail.
