GunWorld 2 for XONE and PC is an action platformer game with RPG elements. It was developed and published by m07games, an American development studio that also created the original installment of the series. The title is designed in retro style and takes place in a fantasy land where weapons grow on trees like fruit.

Plot

In the game, we are taken to the eponymous GunWorld. Some alarming changes took place on the planet where the intergalactic party of superheroes called The Exaction Faction arrested its president, Eagle, for the common good. As Dwayne, the world’s best shooter, we have to face enemies and rescue the leader from their hands.

Mechanics

GunWorld 2 for XONE and PC is a retro action game that focuses mainly on combat. Characteristically to platformers, we move only on platforms gathering gold and experience while fighting various enemies.

Combat is typically arcade. While fighting, we focus on avoiding taking damage and shooting at the same time. To gain an advantage, we also use the characteristics of locations by hiding behind our surroundings and constantly switching position. Defeated enemies contributes to successive development of our character and the gold we acquire can be used to enhance our gear. We also have numerous pieces of equipment at our disposal which also change the appearance of the protagonist.

Technical aspects

GunWorld 2 for XONE and PC offers interesting old-school two-dimensional graphics that reference the genre’s classics.
